Project description
The aims of the project were, firstly to what extent the vine compensates for the removal of bunches during different stages of ripeness, secondly to determine whether the wine quality of premium white and red wine cultivars will improve when different degrees of bunch removal are applied at a sugar content higher than 14B and thirdly, to determine the economical use of grapes that have been removed during these late stages of ripening. The economically feasibility of bunch removal was also investigated. These aims were addressed in field trials.
